Not only are there several ways to spell Hanuka (Hanukkah, Chanukah, and so on), there are now many options available to decorate for it too! So many designers have taken a stab at creating fun and unique designs for the festival of lights.
Here are a few favorites to get your holiday table at its best. And luckily, you have 8 days to perfect it!

This is a minimalist home design choice for newly married young couples, because it does not require a large space for both. Minimalist is a pattern of thinking, working, and way of life. This is a new perspective in viewing design as a reflection of urban life is simple really practical, lightweight, efficient, and management. I thought it would seem useful to you young couples who want to create family harmony.

But keep in mind because it is too minimalist would be boring. For that we need a few tricks to design a minimalist home to keep your room look warm. Furniture selection model should also be considered, you must be able to choose the right furniture and of course accessories for your minimalist house with elements of practical and functional which is the basic key in designing a minimalist home.

Some tips for designing a minimalist home is not easily bored:

1. Selecting the right material to thicken the minimalist concept will be presented. For example, glass furniture combined with aluminum or wrought iron can you attach it in the room. This is a simple form and can make your room look chic.
2. The selection of minimalist furniture curtain capable of supporting the impression you want to display in your room. You can try to choose a light novel blind and able to give the impression of dynamic in a minimalist room.

Design Tip of the Week (11.22.10): Creating a Welcoming Guest Bedroom

With the holidays coming this week many of us will be opening our house to guests. Here are some ideas on how to make your guest accommodations warm and welcoming.

Have somewhere to store their luggage. Provide your guests with a luggage rack to keep the room free of clutter and give them easy access to their belongings. The best part for you is that they fold up and are easy to store.




Have a supply of toiletries set aside in their room. Make sure to also have towels laid out as well. I collect toiletries from my travels and have a large glass jar in my guest bedroom for guests to select what they need. This is a cost effective way to offer your guest single serving amenities.




If you have the space, put a chair in the bedroom offer guests a place to sit beyond the bed. This allows your guest to have some time to themselves in their room beyond just sleeping. A nice added touch is to have some books and magazines available with a nice throw blanket to relax and read.




It's all in the details. Fresh flowers are a beautiful and simple statement to make your guests feel welcome. Another thoughtful courtesy is an alarm clock so they can set their own sleeping schedule.

DIY Tips & Tricks ~ White Pumpkin Centerpieces

Here are some centerpiece ideas for your holiday table using the very chic, the very elegant...white pumpkin!

*Cluster small white pumpkins on a silver platter or in a clear bowl

*Place small white pumpkins on candle pedestals of varying heights (hollow out the center if you want to add a candle)

*Use small pumpkins for table cards (write the name on them with a sharpe or attach a name card to a ribbon)

*Place a medium to large white pumpkin in the center of the table and hollow it out for a tall pillar candle to sit in it.

Casas modernas: Plano de Casa de 2 pisos, 3 dormitorios y 204 metros cuadrados

El plano de hoy tiene 3 dormitorios, pero bien podría tener 4 y hasta 5 habitaciones sin ningún problema. Es muy interesante que mas halla de su superficie enorme entra en prácticamente cualquier tipo de terreno (la casa en si mide 6 metros de ancho por 17 metros de largo). Incluso sirve perfectamente para terrenos entre medianeras, de esos típicos en Latinoamérica.

En la planta baja tenemos living, cocina, comedor, todo conectado. Un pequeño baño social y el dormitorio principal con baño en suite y walk in closet.

En la planta alta tenemos dos habitaciones y el baño principal. Ademas cuenta con un espacio “loft” algo así como una zona de estar para los que duermen en el piso superior. Cabe destacar que hay otro espacio abierto hacia la zona de abajo. Es a estos dos ultimos lugares a los que me refiero que pueden hacer 1 o 2 habitaciones mas.

Mientras buscaba otro plano de 4 dormitorios me encontre con uno de dos habitaciones que vale la pena mirar.

Design Tip of the Week (11.15.10): Create your dream closet!

Creating a dream closet is not an easy task. First, you have to work with the space you have or have a design to create more. Then you need to decide how to best organize it based on what your needs are. Finally, if you have the need, you will have to create a look to fit into your room (this is particularly necessary for an exposed closet or if you have the luxury of a full dressing room!).
